“Privacy is one of the biggest issues an organisation faces; it affects them when dealing with customers, suppliers and staff.”
In this CPD course, we look at the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) that consolidate existing privacy laws into stricter controls and requirements. We look at how the APPs apply to a range of actions – including collection, storage, use and access of personal information – and how to best apply these. In the eyes of the law, any breach by an employee can be treated as if committed by the company itself.
We use examples from recent news headlines and local cases to emphasise the importance of the issue. Industry knowledge and overall comprehension is reinforced by short and independent research activities and practical scenarios presented throughout the course.
