Compliance Forums provide participants with an opportunity to listen to expert presentations, discuss topical regulatory issues relevant to the mutual banking sector, and catch up with colleagues.

Michael is a Senior Lawyer and Manager with GRC Solutions. Prior to commencing his current employment with GRC Solutions in July 2017, he was manager of the Legal & Compliance business unit of the Customer Owned Banking Association for ten years. Michael will provide his usual round-up of key regulatory developments impacting the mutual sector.
We are delighted to announce that Samantha Carroll, Director Governance Compliance Regulation at Ash St., will provide her perspectives on the Financial Service Royal Commission Final Report and an overview of impending regulation changes. Samantha is a governance, compliance and regulation expert with 10 years’ experience in the Governance and Compliance division of a top-tier law firm, and three years as the Head of Compliance for a mid-tier bank. Following well-received presentations to our February/March 2018 Compliance Forums, AUSTRAC has agreed to present again this year. AUSTRAC representatives will discuss the regulator’s recently-completed Risk Assessment for the mutual banking sector. The Assessment report is expected to be released shortly. Details of who from AUSTRAC will speak in each location will be provided in due course.
